At Vidant Urology, the work-family has pulled together to get through the stress of the pandemic. The staff has done several things in our office to promote teamwork, communication, stress management, and staff appreciation.

As the pandemic was surging in the country, we focused on celebrating our Healthcare Heroes, we call ourselves the "Stream Team" here at Vidant Urology and staff created a bulletin board claiming their superpower.
In March, we started with a staff meeting to discuss our fears, what we can control, what we can influence, and what we cannot control, and then created a bulletin board where staff wrote out notes under each category.

When masks became a daily accessory, we had headbands with buttons made for the staff to help ease ear pain.
For Easter, we put personalized notes in decorative Easter eggs and gave to staff and then hid eggs with prizes in them around the office for an egg hunt.

One of our team member's wedding has been impacted by the pandemic and on the day that was supposed to be her wedding day, we decorated her door and made sure she felt extra loved that day.
With a donation of KIND Bars to our office, we printed Quotes of Kindness and labeled the bars prior to passing them out.
