General Information

Wilmington North CarolinaThe NCMGMA Annual Conference, scheduled for May 18-20 at the Wilmington Convention Center & Embassy Suites Hotel, will provide a rich environment where North Carolina's medical practice leaders can come to learn, grow and share. We are again in-person and excited to bring the Annual Conference back to downtown Wilmington!

Connected to the Riverwalk, nominated as one of America's best, we offer ideal accommodations for either the business or leisure traveler. Relax in a spacious loft-inspired room with plush bedding, a flat panel TV, rainfall showerhead, and more. The NCMGMA rate is $179 per night, single/double, plus tax. Self parking is $15 per day and valet parking is $21 per day. Discount cutoff is April 27th.

The Embassy Suites overlooks the Cape Fear River and Battleship North Carolina, with direct access to Wilmington Convention Center. We are a half mile from the historic district. The NCMGMA rate is $189 single/double, plus tax, for a riverview suite and $209 single/double, plus tax, for a standard view suite. Self parking is $16 per day and valet parking $22 per say. Discount cutoff is April 26th.

NCMGMA Membership Types

  • Active Membership - An Active Member is currently employed in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity of a medical group engaged in the practice of medicine as a legal entity sharing business management facilities, records and personnel and/or services in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity of an integrated delivery organization that includes, as part of its primary mission, the provision of physician services and administration of physician practices type.
  • Affiliate Membership - An Affiliate Member is employed by an organization that provides products and/or services which enhance each Association member's ability to meet the health needs of their community, including, but not limited to business consultants, providers of products and services.
  • Student Membership - Student Membership is available to any person who is a full time or part-time student according to the guidelines of their college or university. Student Members shall not have the right to vote and shall not have the right to serve as officers or directors of the Association.

COVID-19 Protocols & Expectations

NCMGMA will require proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID test (taken within 48 hours from start of conference) for entrance into the 2022 Annual Conference for all attendees, guests, exhibitors, and staff. NCMGMA will also ask all registrants to complete a one-time health self-assessment. Additionally, masks will be required while indoors at all functions unless actively eating or drinking.

To maintain the confidentiality of these records, NCMGMA will provide a link to the CLEAR Health Pass, a third-party and secure system.

NCMGMA is committed to maintaining healthy communities, especially during this pandemic, and we believe these additional measures will help keep the spread of the virus to a minimum as we strive to return to more normal operations for our membership.

What to Wear

Business casual is the appropriate attire for the Fall Conference and related events.

healthcare administrator, affiliated with the NCMGMA, who has exhibited exceptional leadership management proficiency and enhanced the effectiveness of healthcare delivery in his/her practice and community through recent, noteworthy achievements. NCMGMA Community Service Project with NourishNC

Join us at 11:30 am on Thursday, May 19th. As participants walk out of the last General Session, we will be set up for everyone to help and make a snack bag for NourishNC and help feed children in New Hanover County.

Help us Assist Hungry Children!
Supporting NourishNC, a 5019 (c) 3 nonprofit whose mission is to Provide healthy food to hungry children, empowering them to succeed in the classroom and in their community, NCMGMA will be packing 200 Snack Packs onsite during the 2021 Annual Conference. These Snack Packs are ready-to-go snack options that contain a juice box and three snacks for kids who need a little extra fuel for their after-school activities.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received on or before Monday, May 9th (seven business days prior to the conference) are entitled to a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be awarded for cancellations after May 9th or for no-shows.
