Position Title: Controller

Kernodle Clinic is currently seeking qualified individuals for a Controller position to join the Senior Administration team based in our Burlington, NC office.

Job Description:

This position is accountable for directing and overseeing all aspects of the company's financial operations. Areas of responsibility include: accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, cost accounting and revenue cycle to optimize savings and revenue. Position provides:

  • Oversight of completion of monthly financial and operational reporting and reconciliations.
  • Analysis of financial performance and strategic planning.
  • Responsible for managing accounting structures and development/implementation of new policies.
  • Oversight of maintaining payroll system and processing payroll.
  • Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records.
  • Comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles while maintaining strict confidentiality of accounting records.

Organizes time and priorities so that assigned activities are completed within designated timeframes while demonstrating effective management skills and leadership qualities and a high degree of professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent business degree.
  • Master’s degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of financial management experience or accounting leadership experience, preferably in a medical group or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in preparation of financial statements, annual budgets, capital budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, payroll processing and general ledger adjustments.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities required.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Experience with MS Office software and SAGE accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
