Position Title: Medical Office Manager Organization: Carolina Care-Urgent Care & Sports Medicine Location: Wilmington, NC
Job Description:
Holds a strategic leadership position managing the overall operations of a growing multispecialty practice through accomplishment of the following:
- Supervises and offers support to the front office and clinical support staff.
- Works closely with the Practice's administrative team to help create and execute plans related to growth and achievement of the Practice's overall mission.
- Manages daily operations relating to regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Identifies and coordinates community marketing opportunities.
- Energizes and motivates Practice's team and promotes a positive team culture.
- Ensures that the Practice is adequately staffed.
- Communicates and ensures compliance with Practice policies and procedures.
- Addresses and resolves any staff performance concerns that may arise.
- Interacts with patients, reviews patient feedback and addresses any patient service issues.
- Monitors and manages clinical supply inventory.
- Performs front end registration and/or clinical tasks as a back-up in the event of staff absence or high patient volume.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of medical practice management experience.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
- Marketing experience with utilizing a variety of strategies for medical practice growth.
- General knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections.
- Skills in planning, organizing, supervision, exercising initiative, utilizing best judgment, problem-solving and decision making.
- Proven track record of skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with clinical and administrative staff, patients and public.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to delegate authority and responsibility to other Practice personnel.
- Proficiency in the use of common PC applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
