Position Title: Medical Office Manager
Organization: Carolina Care-Urgent Care & Sports Medicine
Location: Wilmington, NC

Job Description:

Holds a strategic leadership position managing the overall operations of a growing multispecialty practice through accomplishment of the following:
  • Supervises and offers support to the front office and clinical support staff.
  • Works closely with the Practice's administrative team to help create and execute plans related to growth and achievement of the Practice's overall mission.
  • Manages daily operations relating to regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Identifies and coordinates community marketing opportunities.
  • Energizes and motivates Practice's team and promotes a positive team culture.
  • Ensures that the Practice is adequately staffed.
  • Communicates and ensures compliance with Practice policies and procedures.
  • Addresses and resolves any staff performance concerns that may arise.
  • Interacts with patients, reviews patient feedback and addresses any patient service issues.
  • Monitors and manages clinical supply inventory.
  • Performs front end registration and/or clinical tasks as a back-up in the event of staff absence or high patient volume.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of medical practice management experience.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or equivalent is preferred.
  • Marketing experience with utilizing a variety of strategies for medical practice growth.
  • General knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections.
  • Skills in planning, organizing, supervision, exercising initiative, utilizing best judgment, problem-solving and decision making.
  • Proven track record of skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with clinical and administrative staff, patients and public.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to delegate authority and responsibility to other Practice personnel.
  • Proficiency in the use of common PC applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
