Position Title: Chief Financial Officer

Job Description:

Are you a seasoned financial professional with a passion for healthcare administration? Carolina Eye Associates, a premier multispecialty MD/OD practice with 30 physicians, 14 office locations, and two ambulatory surgery centers, is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer to join our administrative team in Pinehurst, NC.

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the financial department including the development/administration of accounting and financial policies on finance, accounting, insurance, internal controls, budget, auditing, payroll, and claims processing. This position exercises general supervision over financial department staff and other staff as assigned.

About the Role:

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategies and policies of our organization. From budget planning to financial statement analysis, you will oversee all aspects of the financial department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clinic CEO and administrative staff in strategic planning and financial forecasting.
• Prepare annual budgets and present monthly financial statements to management and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Direct and coordinate reimbursement, patient accounting, and general accounting activities.
• Supervise departmental personnel, providing guidance and support for professional development.
• Stay updated on third-party payer rules and regulations, including Medicare requirements.

Requirements:

• MAcc (preferred), MBA, MHA, or MS in finance, business administration, or health administration.
• Minimum of five years fiscal experience, including three years in a healthcare organization.
