On-Demand Testing for All Board Certification Exams!
As of March 9, 2020, ACMPE exam registration is completed on-demand. ACMPE program participants can register and sit for their exams with as little as two days’ notice any time of the year. To become board certified, you must pass the multiple-choice and scenario-based exam requirement. You must register for each exam individually. Click here to start the registration process.
Latest Updates (as of November 25, 2020)
- Live Online-Proctored (LOP) exams have been extended until April 1, 2021.
- Registrants currently have the option for on-demand testing at over 500 Scantron testing locations or, until April 1, 2021, may select Live online-proctored format from the safety of their homes. You must register for each exam individually. You can register and sit for your exams with as little as two days’ notice any time of the year.
Purchasing
- Exam purchasing will be open throughout the year.
- Exam(s) purchased are eligible for scheduling within 24 hours and you may sit for the exam within 48 hours of receiving your notice to schedule.
- Examinations that are purchased are eligible to test for up to one year from the purchase date.
- Once eligibility for testing expires, you must repurchase the exam(s).
Organizational Purchasing
- Organizations who bulk purchase exams have one year from purchase to assign the testing fees. Once assigned, the candidate has one year of eligibility to test.
- Unassigned exam fees or exams not completed once assigned must be repurchased once passed the eligibility dates.
Scheduling
- Notice to the schedule will be delivered via email from Scantron 24 hours after the purchase date.
- Use the Scantron portal to choose dates, times, and locations.
- You may schedule as soon as 48 hours but must take the exam before your one year of eligibility.
Rescheduling
- Examinations rescheduled 11 or more days from the date of scheduled exam(s) will not incur a fee to do so. You must still test within one year of eligibility.
- Examinations rescheduled 48 hours up to 10 days of the scheduled exam(s) will incur a $15.00 rescheduling fee per exam to Scantron.
- All reschedules are handled by Scantron at 919.572.6880.
- Those who wish to reschedule within 48 hours of scheduled exams will be a No-Show and will forfeit their fees and eligibility*. You will need to purchase the exam(s) again to test.
No Shows and Refunds
- No-shows for the testing appointment will have to purchase the exam(s) again.
- No refunds will be offered for the examinations. Eligibility is good for one year from the purchase date.
- After one year, you will need to purchase your exam(s).
*Emergency Reschedule Policy
A candidate may cancel or reschedule his/her testing session fewer than two (2) days in advance of the testing appointment if the candidate experiences one of the following circumstances (the $25 rescheduling fee may apply). The candidate must provide Scantron with appropriate documentation (e.g., copy of the summons, doctor’s note, copy of funeral announcement) within 15 business days of the rescheduling request.
i. Serious illness and/or hospitalization (either the candidate or immediate family member [e.g., mother/father, sister/brother, wife/husband, child])
ii. Death in the immediate family (e.g., mother/father, sister/brother, wife/husband, child)
iii. Disabling accident
iv. Court appearance
v. Jury duty
vi. Unexpected military call-up

- We anticipate that there will be daily site changes (i.e., temporary closures or revised procedures.) As a reminder, these updates are posted at https://www.scantron.com/site-closures-delays/.
- Scantron is working individually with candidates who have been impacted by the closures to assist them in rescheduling as quickly and conveniently as possible.
- If you have upcoming exams and don’t want to keep track of closures, you can also go in and reschedule in your exam portal through Scantron.
