The Fall Conference gives practice managers the opportunity to engage with colleagues, thought leaders and exhibitors; sharpen leadership skills through professional development experiences; and enjoy the fall in one of North Carolina’s most beautiful mountain settings.

Hotel Accommodations

Harrah's imageAll events for the Fall Conference are scheduled at Harrah's Casino and Resort, located at 777 Casino Dr, Cherokee, NC 28719. We are pleased to offer our attendees the discounted group rate of $139 per night for a single/double room (plus taxes). Reservations must be made no later than August 23, 2022, for the discounted rate. Please make reservations early as if the room block sells out, we also cannot guarantee the discounted rate. Cancellations need to be completed per the hotel’s cancellation policy to avoid being charged 1-night room and tax.

After August 23rd, please contact the hotel directly and note NCMGMA’s contracted room rate cannot be guaranteed. You should receive a confirmation email from the hotel. If you do not receive within 24 hours of your reservation, please contact the hotel directly.

NCMGMA Membership Types

  • Active Membership - An Active Member is currently employed in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity of a medical group engaged in the practice of medicine as a legal entity sharing business management facilities, records and personnel and/or services in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity of an integrated delivery organization that includes, as part of its primary mission, the provision of physician services and administration of physician practices type.
  • Affiliate Membership - An Affiliate Member is employed by an organization that provides products and/or services which enhance each Association member's ability to meet the health needs of their community, including, but not limited to business consultants, providers of products and services.
  • Student Membership - Student Membership is available to any person who is a full time or part-time student according to the guidelines of their college or university. Student Members shall not have the right to vote and shall not have the right to serve as officers or directors of the Association.

What to Wear

Business casual is the appropriate attire for the Fall Conference and related events.

First Citizens Bank LogoThe North Carolina Medical Group Management Association (NCMGMA) is proud to partner with First Citizens Bank to present the 9th Annual Practice of the Year Award, to be presented on the evening of Thursday, September 15th during the Fall Conference networking reception.

This award recognizes a medical group practice that has made a significant contribution to their community, patients and/or staff through volunteer work, indigent clinics, fundraisers, staff wellness programs, community clean-ups, community screenings and education (internal & external), etc.

Suit-casing Policy

Any individual who is observed to be soliciting business in the aisles or other public spaces, in another company’s booth, or in violation of any portion of the Exhibition Policy, will be asked to leave immediately. Suit-casing may also take the form of commercial activity conducted from a hotel guest room or hospitality suite, a restaurant, club, or any other public place of assembly. For the purposes of this policy, suit-casing violations may occur at venues other than the exhibition floor and at other events. NCMGMA must be informed of any hospitality suites and expressed consent must be received prior to the event.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received on or before September 5th (seven business days prior to the conference) are entitled to a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be awarded for cancellations after September 5th or for no-shows.
