Position Title: Medical Office Administrator Practice: Cross River Cardiology Location: Lenoir, NC
Position Description:
Managing and final responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the practice, to include:
- Hiring, training, and supervising administrative staff.
- Managing finances, including budgets and payroll.
- Collaborating with medical personnel to develop and assess business strategies.
- Monitoring inventory and placing orders for resupply.
- Ensuring our practice complies with industry regulations and accreditation standards.
- Interacting with patients and addressing any concerns or complaints.
- Organizing patient records/EHR (Athena) Super User level of knowledge.
- Conducting regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
- Overseeing schedules to ensure high efficiency and operational readiness.
- Working as a team to ensure the practice runs effectively and meets objectives.
Requirements:
- Degree in business and/or healthcare management or related field or demonstrated prior experience.
- Management experience in a medical practice (Preferably Cardiology).
- Strong computer literacy.
- Leadership qualities, with good communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work autonomously to make effective decisions.
- Solid understanding of finance management.
- Professional appearance.
- Previous experience working in a medical office or hospital setting is required.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is required (Athena experience is highly desirable).
- Knowledge of managed care principles and utilization management processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Knowledge of Cardiology is not required but is strongly preferred.
- Vascular and coding experience is a plus.
